This Sunday, 17th May, is the final winter league race of the year, the West End 8. As with all winter league races, it will be £4 to enter (on the day only) and limited to club members (club kit must be worn).
Details on the West End website. Runners are encouraged to meet at Wilton Road car park in Melton at 9am for car sharing.

Routes mapped, sunshine ordered, pub warned – we’re ready for the start of the outruns! This Wednesday we are at the Carington Arms at Ashby Folville, running at 7pm.
Gentle start to the season – wide, easy to follow paths, not too hilly, no mud (at the moment) or cows to worry about and both routes are relatively short (choice of 5 mile or 3 mile routes).
Please try not to fill the pub car park (they have other customers as well!) – a bit of car sharing and sensible use of the lane outside should see us right?
Thank you to everyone who came along last night (or sent apologies), all contributions much appreciated.
As ever, the tough bit is that membership fees are now due for the 2015/16 year and so we would ask those that weren’t able to pay last night to bring payment to a club run in the next couple of weeks – if you aren’t likely to be around, Theresa’s address is on the membership form (you can find one on the membership page) if you would like to deliver your payment direct (making clear who it is from!). Rates for the new year are:
Senior: £30
Junior: £10
Joint: £55
Second claim: £20
For those who weren’t able to come along, attached below are a few handouts that are worth a read, including a brief review of the year in numbers, a request for feedback and details of a few upcoming relay events:
Full details circulated to members – AGM (8.30pm) will take place after the club run (7pm start) this Wednesday.

This Wednesday (1st April), in addition to our usual Melton road run, we have the final headtorch run of the season. Meet at the Red Lion in Stathern, ready to run at 7pm. It will be hilly (and probably a bit muddy).
Details of how the headtorch runs work is here and a few photos from previous runs are here.
It is the Desford 6 this Sunday, part of the winter league series. As usual, we’ll be meeting at the Wilton Road car park in Melton for lift sharing at 9am.
Further details at Desford website and for more details on how the LRRL works click here.
There will be a break from junior training over Easter, with no training on 31st March, 2nd April, 4th April or 7th April. Once training starts up again, after the clocks have changed, the venues will move for the summer.

These sessions will all be outdoors with no charge and they will be on in all weathers.
Details of this summer’s open meetings at Loughborough, and EA fees for the older juniors have been emailed to the juniors mailing list.
