8 January 2022 Congratulations to these three amazing athletes who ran in the Leicestershire xcountry champs. The conditions were really tough with lots if rain and tons of mud.

Megan finished 5th
And Jamie finished 12th
Well done all 3 of you Richard, Ian and me are very proud of you.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are junior training nights, with sessions organised by our qualified coaches, led by Di Underwood.

Melton Times Sports Awards 2019 It was nice to see that Di Underwood and Richard Cox were recognised for their 25 years of commitment to Stilton Juniors, where they have looked after training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for our younger members. Di and Richard were nominated for the ‘Unsung Hero’ award and at the presentation evening at Scalford Hall they were awarded runner-up certificates.

Other Striders who were in line for awards on the evening were Junior Sports Personality nominee James Jesson (from Junior Striders), junior parkrun Community Sport Award nominee (core team including Striders Rachel Heggs, Ian Drage, Kristy & Andy Nicholls) and also Leigh Pick who was Disability Sport nominee. All of these nominees were also awarded runners-up certificate. Well done to them all for being nominated and reaching the category short-lists.

During the spring and summer, Tuesdays we meet at MV 16 (next to Melton Sports Village) at 6.15pm and Thursdays we meet at the Country Park visitor centre at 6pm.  These sessions are all outdoors, free of charge and are held in all weathers.

During the autumn and winter, Tuesdays we meet at 6.15pm outside Argos in the centre of Melton for a free outdoor session and on Thursdays we meet at 6pm at the Defence Animal Centre.

Before attending for the first time, please email Di Underwood at stiltonjuniors@gmail.com
