Summer outrun season is upon us..! First outrun is on Wednesday 1st May from The Grange (Asfordby Hill) so please do come along for a run and stay for a drink and bite to eat if you can. For details of all this year’s runs and more information on what they are all about, see the summer outrun page.
Following the recent AGM, this year’s membership form, the safeguarding policy and (shortly) the updated constitution are available via the Club documents page.
The club’s annual meeting will take place on Wednesday 24th April at 8.30pm in the dance studio at Melton Sports Village after the club night run.
This is YOUR opportunity to raise important issues for the future of our club. What do we do well? What can we improve on? What would you like to see change?
The agenda and a proposed new constitution to better reflect how the club operates today have previously been sent out. Please attend and contribute if you possibly can. Thank you!

With the clocks moving to BST, our thoughts turn to long summer evenings, with club runs over the fields and footpaths – and maybe retiring to a country pub afterwards for a little socialising. If this sounds like your sort of thing, then check out the summer outruns page and we’ll be announcing this year’s schedule shortly – starting on 1st May.

LRRL (Leicestershire Road Running League) – entry in advance, details of how
to enter will be released when announced
** Local runner Andrew Wrath will be running 10K at each of a number of
different locations across Europe on Friday, April 5, showing how easy it is to
traffic people across borders. He will be finishing in his home town of Melton
Mowbray. Melton Running Club-MRC and Stilton Striders will be co-hosting a
10K run with Andrew when he arrives by train approx. 21:30pm in Melton and
we’d like your support for this serious but special occasion. Melton Sports is
putting a pair of AfterShokz Trekz Air open ear headphones and a goodie bag
(worth over £150) up for grabs to boost the fundraising total on the night.
