On a busy Sunday with Striders on show all over the country two lonely Striders made the short trip across the Vale for the Orston Spring Dash 10km.
The race is a 10km run over mixed terrain through the villages and lanes around the village of Orston in Nottinghamshire.
The race took place in beautiful spring sunshine with a great atmosphere.
With medals and cakes for all runners this was a no brainer.
Alan Thompson ran a brilliant race in 17th place in a time of 43.27 and Tam Nicol came 53rd in a time of 48.44. Cheered on and cake assisted by Steph Barlow.
This is a lovely race on our doorstep and worth a go for anyone not involved in the London Marathon or the Lakes next year
