A large group of Stilton Striders raced in the Beacon Solstice, a five-mile trail race around Beacon Hill Country Park. Luke Eggleston finished second overall after an excellent run, clocking 32min 09secs, while clubmate was seven places back in ninth after posting 33.50, to finish first vet 40.

The race was also open to canicross, where runners race with a dog which has to be attached to the runner, usually with a lead system fitted around the runner’s waist.
