A slight change of plans
There has been a slight change of plans to the previously published Summer Outrun schedule. Following the Three Club Challenge on Tues Aug 6th, the Croxton Kerrial outrun will now be on Wed Aug 7th at 7pm from the Goose and Feathers and the No Watch Run will be on Wed Aug 14th at a location to be confirmed closer to the time.

Striders newsletter – July/Aug 2019
In this edition we profile a current club member (Greeba Heard), her incredible progress and motivation, then highlight members’ charitable fundraising efforts and revamp the London Marathon eligibility criteria for the club’s place(s) plus introduce our new race “the Bison Bash” as well as a round up of the many events over the last month or so.

Three club challenge – 6th Aug 2019
Three Club Challenge 7.00pm Rushcliffe Golf Course Tuesday 6th August. £5.00 including post race food.
This year it is hosted by Barrow Runners and although it is not our usual club night we need to muster as many runners as we can so please put the date in your diaries and it gives you enough time to make any arrangements.
This is an annual event between Barrow, Wreake Runners and ourselves and if you haven’t experienced a race yet this is a great way to start as it is a low key and friendly event, albeit there is a trophy and the associated bragging rights at stake.
We would welcome your participation on the night and we can arrange car sharing closer.
Let’s see if we can beat last year’s turnout.

Summer running
Over the summer months, we still have club runs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
On Wednesdays we have our summer outruns – the schedule can be found on the dedicated summer outrun page (follow this link, or type “summer outruns” in the search bar).
Thursdays remains technical sessions, and Fridays we have the ‘chatty runs’ – keep an eye on our Facebook page (or join the members closed group) for the latest details each week.
